The Disappearing Male

This artical was about how male births have decreased significantly since 1970. It decresed from 2/3 of births to just over 1/2 in Japan. Japan is one of the more worrying places where male births are lowering. Also the number of fetuses that die are increasingly male. A study on this reports that an overall decline of 17 males per 10, 000. This decline is unexplained so far to scientists but it could become a worse problem. Although, scientists think there are many factors pretaining to the decrease. Male to female birth ratios will be strictly monitored.

I never really put much thought into male to female birth rate. I never thought of it as a problem until I read this. I don't really know what scientists will find out. I hope they will find a way to make this problem reduce itself. It makes me wonder what would cause it and how it can be fixed. Overall, the artical was interesting to me.
