Science loses out when ice caps melt

Glaciologist have been studying current ice caps and mountains and they have began to notice that the ice and glaciers are beginning to melt at three times the speed at ground level. Most of this melting activity is based off of the high temperatures that have been occurring world wide. Climatologist have made it known that temperatures are warming at an increasing speed. Most mountains can contain snow on them for years because of the altitudes however the glaciers melting at the bottom are causing mountains to decrease in elevation and cause other natural disasters such as: Earthquakes, Slides, and Floods. In my opinion, this can only turn into a negative impact on the world in a way. However; the melting does supply the Earth with an increase in Freshwater which is slowly but surely being used at a high rate.
