ANiMALS , w|o oxygen ?

Scientists found three animal species living below the surface of the Mediterranean Sea. The animals were multicellular. That means their bodies have many cells. They also very tiny each being about the same size as a large grain of sand . They look like tiny umbrellas with legs. But they are animals. The crazy thing about these animals are , they dont need oxygen to live ! Biologists know only that a single-celled organisms can live in places that have no oxygen, and that multicellular organisms can visit these places, but not live there. Finding these animals have really changed their minds. The three species are types of loriciferan. They live in a part of the world called L’Atalante Basin. While the scientists did more test the also found eggs from these animals. They are still shocked by these animals but they are going to let them live. I think that it was a good thing that they found these animals. It has opened up a new life form which we never would have known about if they wouldn't have been found.
