A new brand of addiction could become a real career stopper for many of us. The use of the Interne, to which the new breed of addicts have lost all control. In Korea, most addictive behaviors play out at public cafes. American addicts typically use at home, behind closed doors. There have been at least 10 heart-related deaths linked to online activities in Internet cafes. However tragic the condition might be, look at how difficult it could be to walk away from the computers. Computers are everywhere, so you really cant hide from them. Soon Internet access could be essentially ubiquitous, available from every room of the house, from every major electronic device, and from every major library and school.This new addiction reminds us that there can be real problems with leading increasingly virtual lives. I personally belive that the computer is addictive. If it wasnt for all the cool sites and advertisements no one ould care for the computer that much. But with things like facebook and myspace , its hard to stay away.
