What ever happened to the Ozone hole?

This article, http://news.nationalgeographic.com/news/2010/05/100505-science-environment-ozone-hole-25-years/, is about the hole in the earth's ozone layer, which was discovered almost 25 years ago. Chemicals in aerosols and other products are part of the reason for the wearing down of ozone in our atmosphere. Laughing gas is actually thought to be the biggest threat to ozone. These products are responsible because certain atoms from the chemicals given off take oxygen atoms from the ozone. Due to tighter restrictions on products that might do this, the ozone layer is now recovering, scientists say.

Woohoo! I, growing up in school, was always made to fear this "hole" so commonly refered to by teachers. The doomsday scenario depicted in Al Gore's "An inconvenient Truth" was enough to make me believe we would meet our demise as a species much sooner than expected. I still think, however, that we should be coutious despite this gradual victory we are facing.
