Early Sunday morning a volcano erupted in south Iceland. It was said that the thirty-story-tall lava fountains shoot a half mile long. The volcano that erupted was the Eyjafjallajokull. As a result of this volcano erupting flights were not allowed to land in the airspace on sunday, but monday it seemed to be getting back to normal. The volcano island lies south of the Artic Circle atop of the Mid-Alantic Ridge. This is where two tectonic plates have been pulling apart.

I think volcanoes are so intresting. I would love to see one someday. I never knew there were volcanoes in Iceland. Well truthfully I dont know where any volcanoes are located. But i dont want to see it when its erupting. I also want to see lava.
